Glitch

When I first got it, I admit I was a little disappointed--compared to my other Vitaly pieces, it felt cheap to me. The metal and chain are thin and the "stone" is made of plastic. I thought about returning it, but I got a second opinion from a friend. He pointed out that if the stone was glass or real, it would have cost a lot more (like twice as much, easily), and they were probably trying to keep it affordable. He also complimented how nicely cut the steel was and how cool it looked.

He and I are artists too, and this was a good reminder that sometimes when we're ignorant of the process it can lead to devaluing the work altogether.

So, ymmv, but personally I'll be keeping it and enjoying it as a new piece from this brand.
